Why tanzania?

Tanzania is a member of different International bodies for the purpose of taking advantage of strategic opportunities for social-economic development, in that regard Tanzania has an obligation to embrace the engagement with the 400 forward initiative to benefit from the trade mission led by the Conference of Black Mayors. However, the visitation of some of the Mayors from the USA early, 2019 was the milestone towards understanding the situation in Tanzania ranging from slave trade markets in Bagamoyo and Zanzibar, appreciating the efforts by the President of Tanzania H.E. John Joseph Pombe Magufuli to transform the country into better living standard by fighting corruption, enhancing accountability and hard work. The delegation was convinced that Tanzania should be awarded with an opportunity to host the 2019, 400 Forward event.

The engagement will provide an opportunity for companies and institutions to meet their counterparts from host country and discuss a number of strategic business opportunities between host country and Americans. Moreover, the main purpose of the Conference of Black Mayors (CBM) is to provide technical assistance to the member states that bolsters trust, trade, tourism and training. However, the Conference of Black Mayors aims at connecting Diaspora throughout the world to leverage from them and provide an opportunity for the global platform while strengthening the funding stream and creating opportunity for economic growth and investment. This is in consistence with the Priority of host country towards promoting infrastructural development, agriculture, industry, tourism, human capital and the President’s vision on industrial promotion.
